Recipe: Strawberry Frozen Yogurt

This thick, creamy and healthy dessert is such a refreshing delight to eat.

It doesn't contain any sugar - and the strawberries, being high in vitamin C and fiber add perfectly to the deeply nutritious and wholesome nutrients found in the pro-biotic filled yogurt made from raw milk.

This recipe creates frozen yogurt that is oh, so good!

Here's the recipe:

Strawberry Frozen Yogurt

4 cups strained yogurt or Greek-style yogurt
3 cups thawed (or fresh) strawberries
1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Strain the yogurt by lining a mesh strainer with appropriate straining cloth (cheese cloth, nylon, etc.). Place mesh strainer over bowl. Place yogurt into cloth. Fold cloth over onto yogurt. Place in fridge and allow to sit for 4-6 hours - allowing the whey to drain.

Once the 4-6 hours are past - place yogurt in ice cream maker container.

Blend the thawed strawberries in blender until smooth. If using fresh strawberries simply add a bit of water to the blender before blending.

Add (approximately) 2 cups of the liquefied strawberry sauce to the yogurt.

Follow ice cream makers directions.

Place some of the finished ice cream in a serving bowl.

Pour some of the remaining strawberry sauce on top and enjoy!
