Looking back - one of the first steps I took was a continuous elimination of unhealthy foods or things.
Here are things we eliminated:
MSG
Hydrogenated Oils, Canola Oil, Vegetable Oil
Pasteurized milk
Cheap eggs
White sugar
Brown sugar
Store bought bread
Microwave use
White flour
Junk snack foods
Regular table salt
Foods containing corn syrup
Regular fluoride toothpaste
Aluminum (deodorant and baking powder)
Processed rice
Tap Water
Mercury (amalgam tooth fillings)
We did this line upon line, precept upon precept - getting rid of whatever I felt quietly compelled to take out of our diet or normal way of living and adding something better in it's place.
