I remembered a recipe I saw on Lydia's Italy which sparked some great ideas that took a meal from being ordinary to extraordinary! The smells were so pleasing to the senses - what a difference compared to the old pasta version!
Here's the recipe:
Herb and Garlic Butter Pasta
Whole wheat pasta
sea salt
2 tsp oregano powder
2 tsp dried basil
3/4 cup raw butter
3-4 cloves garlic
Boil water. Add pasta, few good dashes of sea salt, the oregano and basil into the pot. Boil until the pasta is cooked. Strain pasta. No need to rinse.
Melt butter in pan with garlic until garlic becomes lightly browned.
Place pasta in bowl. Pour desired amount of garlic butter over the pasta and add a few dashes of Parmesan cheese.
