Discovery: Maple Syrup

Not all salts are created equal.
Nor oils.
Nor butters.
Nor milk.
Nor sugar.

Nor-
pancake syrup.

First of all store bought pancake syrup almost always is comprised of High Fructose Corn Syrup. Far too man made for my taste.

Compare that syrup to true and pure maple syrup:

The beautiful deep brown color.
The savory sweet smell.
And the taste unlike anything man can produce.
Only God.
For us.

We're so lucky.

There are some things to know about Pure Maple Syrup:

*There are two maple syrup "grades". A & B. The grade A maple syrup is more refined. Grade B isn't. I choose grade B because I believe this grade is more nutritional seeing as how it hasn't been messed with as much.

*Maple syrup is known to contain more than 20 compounds that have been linked to human health.

*These anti-oxidant compounds have been found to anti-cancer, anti-bacterial and anti-diabetic properties.

*And it has many natural occurring minerals such as zinc, thiamine and calcium.

(Compare that to man made pancake syrup laden with High Fructose Corn Syrup.)

*It is more expensive but you don't have to use as much. I buy mine from Good Earth. I get to pour it into my own container - it's a lot cheaper than buying it from a labeled container.

*Pure Maple Syrup is strong in taste. We like to generously slather raw butter onto our pancakes and then pour a small amount of Maple Syrup on it.

*It's so good. (In every way.)
